Monday first class

Hey Everybody!

Great class today! We covered some really important design theory and many of you picked up Photoshop for the very first time today!

Good Job.

For everyone working with Photoshop for the first time. Please start off off with the tutorials that come with the software. These can really help a solidify of the basic tools and functions in Photoshop. There are alos tons of tutorials on the Adobe.com website. Also please feel free to get any or all of the Visual Quickstart Guides that you think might help.

Heres a great link from About.com to a tutorial page called Photoshop Tutorials.

Pasted below are some sites where you can get free clip art and stcok photography to start playing with. You can also use Google image search to find photos on the net.

Oops, wish I would have chosen a cool screen name like Gamera. Thanks for a great (/nightmare-inducing but fun) class today.

For those who were interested, the software at the NYU computer store was $600 ($599) for the Adobe Web Bundle, a combo of Creative Suite and Studio 8, which includes everything (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver...). The guy at the store said the price is set by Adobe and he would be suspicious of anything cheaper.
